Wiki addending initial charges after positive Covid test result

Hello, We are seeing pts and having to send off Covid tests out for results. The chart note is updated with the results, but the positive diagnosis is not addended to the charges before sending out to the insurance . Is this appropriate to addend with the primary diagnosis of U07.01 to the original visit before sending them to insurance. The argument is ,that the results are returned on a different day so they should not be addended on that specific . charge even though It has not gone to insurance,
