Hi there, our pathologists are performing microscopic adequacy assessment on kidney biopsies to let a radiologist know if sufficient glomeruli are present or not. Are they able to charge 88329 for this?

Yes, if it is documented as you described, if the pathologist is doing an exam by naked eye or low-power grossing scope, 88329 is appropriate.

Side note: if your office doesn't already have it, this is a fantastic resource: APF Pathology Service Coding Handbook.
