Can an ARNP perform 96413 or 96401 if a physician is not in the suite?
Can the charges be billed under the ordering physician if he/she is not in the suite or would it go under the supervising physician? under the supervising ARNP?

in an office setting chemo requires direct physician supervision. It can be billed under any physician but it should be the physician who was onsite at the time of service. You should have at least 1 dr onsite and available at all times while administering chemo.

If you bill chemo out under an ARNP the insurance will most likely deny the claim, rare occasion if they pay it may be at 80%.
