Patient is coming into be evaluated to be admitted into an Assisted Living center. Would you bill an E/M visit or 99324-99337 code? I was thinking E/M code because 99324-99337 code is for those already living in Assisted Living. Thoughts?

If I understand this question correctly, you are asking if you see a patient in the office for evaluation for admission to Assisted Living, which codes should you use.

I would use an office visit code 99201-99205 or 99211-99215 if the history, exam, and MDM met the criteria because the visit is taking place in the office. The Domiciliary codes can't be used in the office setting.
