DELIVERY admission to facility

I know that the admission to the hospital is included with the delivery but I am being told that there are certain circumstances that the admission can ALSO be billed separately from the actual delivery? Can anyone give me more information on this situation. I am new to OB/GYN and am at a lost. Thank you..
