If a patient was admitted to ICU by one of our docs and then later died on the same day that they were admitted this would be considered admit/disc same day codes and it would have to go to the discharging doc, b/c he pronounced them right? I did see if the admitting doc put anything pertaining to CC in the documentation but he didn't, so we can't go that route....any help, I can't think!! thanks.
