Hello,

What code would you use if the patient is in the OB Triage and admitted for delivery, but all the physician writes is admit for delivery or admit in active labor?

Also what about artificial rupture of membranes?

If the pt is admitted for labor and delivers the baby, you do not code for the admit. The only time you could is if the pt is not at term and they make a decision for surgery (c-sec). then you can bill for the admit with a 57 modifier.
