When a patient is in the ED and the ED doctor calls the patient's PCP to see if they want to admit the patient, when does the admit time begin? If the PCP says "I will be in to admit" does the time start when he writes the admit orders or does it begin when the PCP tells the ED doctor that he will be in to admit?
