Hello everyone. I have a question about coding sexual misconduct.

A teenage patient complains that an adult touch them inappropriately. How would I code this?

I would be very careful

I would be very careful here. You cannot unring a bell.
Unless there is proof and the physician has verified the contact, I would be cautious on what code I used.
V71.81 seems to work - observation and evaluation for suspected abuse/neglect

jmcpolin ...
V12.41 is Benign neoplasm of the brain ..... I'm assuming this was a typo.

Hope that helps.
