Hello All!
I'm recently certified CPC-A and CPB. I also have an Associates in Health Info Management from 2007. I've been out of the workforce for 15 years due to a health condition that is now stabilized. Before that I did reception and front desk work in "healthcare adjacent" environments (was a retail manager before that).
I'm looking for advice on getting my foot in the door in a healthcare office. Though eventually I want a coding position, I'm more than open to taking any number of healthcare office positions at first. Does anyone have any advice? Especially, if you have the experience of returning to the workforce after a long break or coming from outside healthcare.
