Hi...I have been working medical billing/coding for about 10 yrs and finally bit the bullet and took the AAPC course to be certified. My test is in Nov. I currently work w/a great company...physician office coding/billing. I'm wondering if there's any advice/info from anyone one getting a part time coding job...preferably remote....to gain more practice? (not looking to quit my current FT job, just supplement and gain more experience) I'm not anticipating being considered an apprentice...but I also don't do tons of extracting in my current coding/billing job. It would be nice to continue to improve. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Make sure that your current employer would not consider this a conflict of interest. You may see if there is any other department there where you can get coding experience. Good luck to you!
