Wiki Aetna policy ultrasound 76856

Aetna is denying cpt code 76856 when bill with 76830 (modifiers are used) stating 76856 is incidental to primary procedure

Ultrasound preformed in office
Anyone else having similar issue?

What I found says they can both be billed, but that Aetna will deny the pelvic ultrasound as incidental to the transvag ultrasound, effective 12/1/2012.

I couldn't find anything in their Medical Clinical Policy Bulletins, but they might have it somewhere in their other policies.

We never had an issue prior to now....
