After one year a pt comes in for a check up from his knee replacement he has no pain no complaints just a check up what dx codes would you use. Also after the global period is up what code would you use?? Thanks for the help
 
Confused sorry what should i use for the 90 day global period for the dx?? The v67.09 is for surveillance following completed treatment. Thanks so much
 
You still use a followup code maybe I gave the wrong V67 look in the V67 category for follow-up following surgery. The other thing you could do is aftercare a V54 code for aftercare following joint replacement. If all is well those are the two choices. Aftercare implies that you are still managing some part of the surgery aftercare like a dressing change and followup is a survellance encounter.
