Hi all - is anyone using the AI modifier on the admitting provider 9922X when a consult by a different specialty is done the same day (billing also 9922X)

Yes....that is the correct way to use the "AI" mod. If any issue were to occur, it would be due to the consult also billing 9922X, not the admitting (correctly) appending the "AI" mod.
