I have a patient that came in to be evaluated for a Penicillin allergy. he is currently trying to enlist in the Marine Core. His father told him he had a reaction to the drug when he was a young child. All of the tests came back negative. The doctor diagnosed him with a drug hypersensitivity, even though the tests were negative. I would like to know how you would code this ..would it be a history of.... ??

We did a RAST test and a Rapid desensitization challenge. All came back negative, so therefore, i would say, that the patient does not have a drug hypersensitivity. In that case, how would i code?
