Hi, I'm new to Allergy and I have a general question. I'm seeing patient routinely come in for immunotherapy injections and quarterly it seem that the provider does a full visit (E/M). I've read that CMS doesn't cover E/M when performed with the injection unless separately identifiable (normal) but when can an allergen bill for an E/M? Is it common for a quarterly E/M if nothing changed? To me, that's a no, nothing is separately identifiable but at the same time, I'm thinking the provider will continue to bill injection only every week, every 2 weeks based on the patient's frequency. Any thoughts, any guidelines would help so much. This will also help me educate my provider.

Common codes: 95117, 95165, 95180

Thank you in advance.
