I have a provider who performed injections for L65.8 non scarring hair loss and also tried to bill an office visit with a 25 modifier for L66.8 other cicatricial alopecia. I wanted to check with y'all to make sure before correcting it. Is it ok to bill the office visit or are the diagnoses seen as related and therefore can't bill a separate office visit? They are both noted to be located on the scalp, although the one for the office visit was selected as the base of the back close to the neck, and the injections were on top of the scalp. Still....
