Given the unique nature of an anesthesia practice (typically no office visits or face-to-face encounters with the patient except at the time of surgery), I am curious as to how anesthesia providers are providing their Notice of Privacy Practices (NPP) to the patient and obtaining an acknowledgement or receipt of NPP. Is anyone in anesthesia doing this and if so, what is your procedure? Are you including it as part of the preoperative consent paperwork? Emailing it before the procedure?

I would appreciate any feedback.

Thanks,
