Can anyone tell me if an anesthesia provider can get paid for anesthesia transport from OR to ICU? I recall reading something but do not remember its context. I have providers who list on the Anesthesia record, transport to ICU under anesthesia. How can I code/bill this.
Thanks in advance for any reply.
 
Wouldn't that just be captured in the time reported for the anesthesia service? The stop time should be when the patient gets to ICU and is signed over to the nursing staff there. Any other thoughts?
