I'm looking for information on if an anesthesiologist is able to bill for consult codes 99241 & 99242 and if so, would these be for primarily cancelled cases prior to induction?

If anyone has any insight on this or website I can review for information.

Thank you

Unless the anesthesiologist is a pain management provider I don't see billing other than non-consult E&M. Consultation needs to meet the 3 R's Request for opinion, Rendering of opinion and a written Report back to the referring provider.
