Have an anesthesiologist that performed a gastroscopy in the middle of a thoracotomy per Surgeon's request. He wants to bill for the scope. I'm thinking no way due to the fact he was in the middle of the case and who would be monitoring anesthesia. Has anyone had this situation come up and how was it handled?
