Hi, Our office has different opinions on how this should be billed. MD starts case and CRNA takes over in middle of case (but then being directed by same MD.) I say the MD should bill as directing the case with the whole time and CRNA should bill as being directed but with only with the time, she is in the case. Others are thinking CRNA should bill with the whole time of the case.

Any thoughts??
 
I code for a very large health system on the west coast. We go with who spent the most time with the patient, gets their name on the 1500 for the total time.
