This is beating a dead horse. Here goes. In what publication can I find that when folks come in for their anticoag checks V58.61 should be the dx not the reason for taking the med. Thanks.

Actually the codeshould be V58.83 first, then V58.61. As of 2003 V58.61 is allowed secondary only. Look in coding clinic 3rd and 4th Quarters 2003 and 4th quarter 2004 I do believe.
