Does any know if an AWV can be done in the home setting? I'm not finding a definitive answer.
 
HCPCS code for annual wellness visit is G0438 with notations next to it indicating carrier discretion, i believe means you have to find out from the carrier if a home visit for this is covered. I searched and found the others that are covered were specialties such as physical therapy, occupational therapy and ect...

UPDATE: I just found that the AWV is included in telemedicine waiver. However, nothing is mentioned about home visit. I believe that the patient must have a provider order for home health care and a plan of recovery, otherwise I don't see Medicare paying for this option. I do know that Medicaid does have a program for home health and it does include the initial visit assesment, as well as AWV. And like I said before, you will probably half to contact the carrier on their policy.
