A provider is pushing back regarding "routine" antepartum visits. One provider is stating the antepartum visits went over the 13 "routine" antepartum visits. Reading the guidelines I count 15 as "routine" antepartum visits (as long as there are no complications with pregnancy). My question Is there a precise number of antepartum visits covered within the global codes? If there is what is that number? If there is not then my thinking if there are more than 15 antepartum visits then this still would be covered with the global code. Am I correct?
