I am a new coder for outpatient radiology and I am trying to determine if this is anterior horn cell disease. The report says,

"There is sclerotic irregularity of superior anterior corner of L3 and probably L4 vertebral body compatible with limbus vertebra (interosseous herniation of part of the
nucleus pulposis through an unfused ring apophysis)
This was it for the impressions section!

Now the "compatible with" we do not code in the outpatient setting. I know with anterior horn if it says spinal muscular atrophy or degeneration of motor neurons that would better help me narrow down a diagnosis but I guess this term sclerotic irregularity of superior anterior corner is throwing me off a bit.

Thanks in advance for your help!
