Hi Everyone -
Hope you can help. Is there a difference between base code and primary and secondary Lab codes? Has anyone heard of disguised add-on codes in the chromosome analysis group; 88261, 88263, 88264, 88280 and 88285? Any ideas on number of units to report?
Thanks in advance!
Barbara

Number of units - 88285

I realize this is very, very, very after-the-fact but what did you find about reporting units for these codes? I'm particularly interested in 88285, "additional cells counted, each study". Do we code it once to describe that additional cells were counted? Or do we report the code for each additional cell counted? Seems excessive given to do the latter but also seems more in line with general coding practices.
