Wiki Anyone had success billing 29888 & 29877 together ???

NCCI edits don't allow the ACL repair with the chondroplasty (29888+29877) however AAOS allows the chondroplasty when it's performed in a separate compartment. Is anyone seeing payments on the chondroplasty with an ACL repair?
 
I bill this all the time and we get paid for them.

How it's billed is dependent on the payer and their specific edit policy.

For those that follow NCCI, per the NCCI manual chondroplasty and/or loose body removal can be reported with other arthroscopy codes, when performed in a separate compartment of the knee, using G0289. (does not apply to meniscectomies)

For payers that do not follow NCCI edits, this is billed in accordance with AAOS guidelines.
