If a patients is in a skilled nursing facility and had their procedure done 52000 in our ASC and they have Medicare and Medicaid is it reimbursable? I have a denial from Medicare stating that this procedure 52000 can be done in the skilled nursing facility and therefore not payable to the ASC. ?!

Any help would be appreciated:)
 
if they are in a SNF facility then therefore Medicare will not reimburse your ASC because its considered consolidated billing. you will have to contact the snf facility and see if they will reimburse you.....good luck in getting payment....
