Breast reconstruction at an asc

Has anyone ever heard of a "j" qualifying/credentialing code required in order for an asc to perform breast reconstruction with implants on a cancer patient? Supposedly the insurance companies will not pay for the implants without this.

I believe they are referring to Medicare Administrative Contractors (MAC) jurisdiction numbers. In FL our MAC is First Coast Service Options - which is J9.

Basically, they want the facility to be Medicare Provider.
