Wiki Assisted Cesarean delivery

Hi Friends,

Hope you help me with this !

Our Ob/Gyn Physician has assisted Cesarean delivery . We have coded 59514 with 80 modifier.
Medicare has denied the claim stating payment adjusted when performed by provider of this speciality
When we spoke to insurance agent they have asked us to change the modifier & resubmit.
What we should do in this case ?

I would use the 59514 as this is c section only. I give the prime MD 59515.

Try 59514-82 as the mod.

Medicare likes modifier -82 for the assist in some cases.
