I have a provider who is a NP and wants to provide primary care services to patients in assisted living. I'm looking for some guidance on what procedure codes you would use for the E & M visits. Also, what place of service code would you use. Thanks!

Home and residence services (99341—99345 for new patients) and (99347—99350 for established patients) are used for both settings. POS 13

Thank you for the information. Do you know if AAPC or anyone else has webinars on this type of billing?
We bill these services as noted. I would look at the E&M guidelines in the CPT book. Starting 1/1/23 these services moved and follow the CPT guidelines for billing. If you are looking for information from AAPC, check the magazine articles at the beginning of last year when this update occurred. There may have been some webinars at that time as well. The AMA also has some free webinars on E&M coding guidelines.
