Hi, has anyone had experience billing at home strep test given by provider to the patient? The provider wants to bill to commercial insurance. Is this possible and what is the code? Would it be either 87880 or 87651? But I want to be clear. The provider gave him the test do perform at home. Can we bill for this? Please help. :)
 
Hi, I'm wondering if you have gotten anywhere with this. I have a similar situation. New pat was seen, positive for strep. Mom left with an extra strep test for sibling at home. After testing was followed up with a Telehealth. Wondering how reimbursement would work with a POS of 10 but the strep test code 87880.
