A provider has asked if multiple units of 99464 may be charged if attendance at delivery is greater than 30 minutes. They sent me this quote: "CPT 99464 is specifically for attendance at delivery by a physician or other qualified healthcare professional, not providing critical care services, for the purpose of standby delivery in anticipation of the need for resuscitation services. This code is also billed in 30 minute increments and differs from 99360 by its direct association with potential need for resuscitation." Though I am not sure where it is from. This is new information to me. Can anyone confirm that payors accept multiple units of 99464?
