New
Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for taking notice, taking the time to open this and for allowing me to introduce myself to you. I am a dedicated, hardworking and intelligent individual who is looking to begin a new chapter with an established and professional company. While I may not have formal experience as a medical coder just yet, what I can tell you is that I passed my Coding class with a "B" average which I maintained the entire time and that I also just passed my CPC with 78% with no formal training with at least 3 of those areas attaining 100%, 3 other areas with 90% and the remaining areas between 60 and 80%. I also passed both my Medical Terminology class and my billing class with B and A averages respectively. I am one that believes that there is always room for improvement which is something that I am always aiming to do and the medical coding field offers me just that plus room for growth, and professional development, where Phlebotomy itself does not.
I can offer your company the security of knowing that working for LabCorp these last 10 years has given me a wide variety of clinical experience and knowledge. I've worked Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Cardiology and OB/GYN as well as Patient Service Centers and I work closely with medical teams, staff and providers. Being an In-Office Patient Services Technician Specialist, I often work independently however, when the need arises, I also work closely with co-workers and other service technicians to help out when & where I can, which makes me professionally well rounded, eager to learn and chip in. It also shows my independence, drive, professional worth, responsibility, and motivation. I am a self-starter who is a planner, is detail oriented, organized and a quick study. My goal is to one day be in management and help to grow myself and others to our fullest potentials.
So, if you find that I am a potentially good fit for your company, please reach out and we can discuss further. Thank you so much for your time and attention. I look forward to hearing from you soon!
Sincerely,
Scarlett M. Williams-Skinner, PSTS; CPC-A, AAPC
