Good Morning,

I trying to come up with an auditing plan for our company and would like to get feedback.

We are creating a coding and auditing division and I would like to know if anyone has a department like this? if so, what s the daily flow?

Seting up an Auditing Dept.

I started my auditing job in August and had to build it from the ground up as well. Healthicity, AAPC's sister company has a couple of really good webinars about starting an auditing dept. You have to work backwards. What are your objectives? How many providers do you have? How often do you want to audit each provider? You also need to set up a system of keeping track of audit results and what steps your company wants to take to correct errors. After you answer these types of questions, you can set up a daily flow.
