I was wondering if anyone could offer advice on an audit tool for BH services/visit notes. I know the coding is mostly time-based, however I want to be able to give my clinicians feed back on how their documentation is holding up. Looking for a place to start for auditing BH visit notes. Any advice would be great. Thanks!

Hi there! I just completed a behavioral health audit last month and came across your question. I've counseled my psychs using the 1997 Documentation Guidelines for EM Services. There's a section in there for a psych exam. My psychs found it really helpful to see what criteria actually counts.
