Hello All,

Need your view on this..... do auditors allow to request modifier -50 / anatomical Rt, Lt on radiology services?

Here is my note to auditors:
If we request modifier on Radiology services, it would be a good practice to indicate the service was bilateral or unilateral [RT/LT].

Here is the respond:

We only verify orders and results- What modifier is appropriate is up to HIM –coders to determine.
