My docs dictate "3 views lt foot" into their xray report, rather than stating each specific view, ap/lateral/oblique ect...

Is this acceptable to give # of views instead of name of views?

I coded radiology for several years. As long as it gave the number of views, that's what we coded by. I hope this helps.
