I'm requesting an authorization for spinal surgery and I disagree with what the physician wants to authorize.
I'm new to neurosurgery and would like some guidance for my selection of codes with respect to the physicians selection.
Assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Cervical posterior decompression, laminoplasty, bilateral C4/5 keyhole foraminotomy

My suggestion; 63051, 77002-26, 69990
Physician's codes; 63051, 63001-59, 63020-50/59, 77002-26, 69990
 
Whats your DX and are these all at the same level? if they are, that's probably why you are getting denied. Also I would suggest 63045 for the foraminotomy if you DX is not HNP.
