Hello All,

I am looking for help on which code to use for axilla lump.

782.2 Localized superficial swelling, mass, or lump
785.6 Lymphadenopathy
705.89 Other specified disorders of sweat glands

I am just not sure which would be the best code to use.

Do you have the pathology? If not, then I would choose 782.2.

It could be anything. Once the surgeon resects it, then you'll know if it was an enlarged lymph node (meaning you would use 785.6) or a cyst of some kind (for example 706.2) or a lipoma or whatever.
