Hello,

We have are a contracted provider with Humana but Seoul Medical Group is managed by Humana and we don't have a contract with them. They are paying us non contracted rates which usually means the patient does not have a copay.
However, their Humana copay has been collected.

The question is can we use that collected copay to pay the balance of the charges since we are non contracted? I was thinking of writing off the rest as a courtesy discount.

Thank you all in advance.

You do not have to follow any contract rules when you are not contracted. So you can bill the patient full charges.
