I have a doc billing 33967 with 77001. This just doesnt look right to me. I dont recall seeing fluroscopy coded with 33967 before. Any input would be helpful :) Thanks

From what I can see from a source that I use, CPT code 77001 is a component of code 33967 but a modifier is allowed. You would need to be able to prove that the fluoro is separate and distinct from the 33967 procedure. I think Medicare would see the 33967 as having fluoro already a part of the procedure. I would not be comfortable adding the 77001 if it was me.
