The family practice that I work for would like to have a "bag" of bandages and dressings for the patient to take home after an would care. Is there a way to bill for these supplies?

Thanks for the suggestions and help.

if you are not set up to bill DME then probably not. You can however give the patient a list of waht they need and have them pick it up at the pharmacy. We had agreements with most of the area Pharmacies to have Dr. x wound care kits already made up and all the patient had to do was give them a scrip for a small med or large wound care kit and they would have it all prepackaged and itemized out and charge the patient.
