Wiki Bariatric Global Package and Nutrition Counseling by RD

Does anyone have thoughts on whether or not they would include the nutrition counseling performed by an RD (registered dietician) in the global package for bariatric surgery.

The services appear to be typical postoperative follow-up care. There could potentially be two types of RD visits.

1. An RD visit to address how to eat during the time directly following the surgery. (i.e. liquids vs. solids and how to get adequite nutrition).

2. An RD visit to discuss life long eating habits and nutrtion. (this service I could potentially lean toward seperate service)
