Specimen is labeled 'EEA Donuts' (end to end anastomosis?) and an Alcian Blue PAS stain was performed and was noted to be positive for Barrett's specialized mucosa. It was also received with a colostomy stoma for a colostomy reversal.

Would 530.85 be appropriate in this case even though the specimen was not esophageal tissue?

Its only documented aspositive for Barrett's specialized mucosa. Which meand the specimen have the same speciality like the Barretts's ...Need to query the physician and clarify whether the patient has Barrett's esophagus. For the reviosion colostomy we can use V55.3
