Has anyone had any experience with using Mod 90 with venipuncture code 36415 or 36416 for BCBS of AL? There is a debate going on where I work about this. We have certain payers that state in the provider manual to add Mod90 to any routine venipuncture even if the labs are done in our own lab. I have talked to several coders in my area even reaching out to coders over 50 miles from where I live and they have all told me they use Mod 90 for venipunctures done on patients that have BCBS of AL. My office manager had me email the BCBS coder but I am getting around about answers from that department.

Thank you in advance for the help and advice!!
