Hello,

I'm reaching out to see if anyone else has experienced BCBS bundling labs together and reimbursing only up to the amount that would have been reimbursed for the actual panel, regardless of whether all components of the panel are billed. We have been billing 80048 and 84460, BCBS will change this to 80053 even though 5 labs were not done. This is in their policy and guidelines but is this practice the norm or should they also be following the guidelines set by CMS.

Any guidance on this issue will be appreciated.
