I was wondering if anyone else is going crazy with BCBS Federal and the NDC#'s? Are you having trouble getting corrected claims to pay also? I really think they are trying to drive me crazy!!!! I would love to know that I am not the only one.

Be sure you are billing the correct dose of the drug. For example, one unit of Varicella vaccine would be .5ml. On your printed claim, you may have to write the dose next to the NDC number as some software companies do not have it mapped to the paper claim, but will map to the correct loop in the electronic claim. Our clinic used to bill everything at 1 UN (unit) then started to have a bunch of denials and discovered we needed to send the correct dose with each NDC.
