Hello! I hope someone can point me in the right direction. We have some providers that give 1/3 dose of BCG to 3 different pts on the same day because they have a shortage of drugs. We are not using the full vial on 1 pt so I am not sure if the JZ is appropriate. I cannot find any info that the JZ modifier signifies that it is all used on 1 pt (just that there is no wastage). We still do not have any wastage because it is being used on other patients, so maybe the JZ modifier is valid on these claims? We have been sending them without the JZ modifier and they are being denied (obviously). Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
